Alvant’s CorXal material (pronounced Core-Zal) is a unique patent pending technology convergence of AlxAl, AerXal and Alvant’s proprietary manufacturing process. This produces a multi-phase material similar in concept to a sandwich material but without the assembly of ‘skins’ to a ‘core’. The aluminium matrix is continuous throughout the material without a discrete join between the outer AlXal layer and the AerXal core portion of the material This provides an ultra-high specific stiffness material with a closed architecture.
