Alvant’s AerXal material (pronounced Air-Zal) is an aluminium syntactic foam made by the inclusion of glass microspheres into an aluminium matrix. This provides a low-density material with high specific strength (strength divided by density). Applications include marine, aerospace, oil and gas.
